ACEMAGIC also builds a V1 around AMD's Ryzen 5 3500U, a four-core, eight-thread laptop chip with Radeon Vega 8 graphics. This version pairs it with 16 GB of DDR4 and a 256 GB SSD. Compared with the Intel N-series V1 models, the 3500U offers eight threads instead of four and stronger integrated graphics, so it copes better with multitasking and light photo work.
Key specs
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 4 cores / 8 threads, 2.1 GHz base, up to 3.7 GHz, 4 MB L3 cache, Zen+ on 12 nm, 15 W default power
- Graphics: AMD Radeon Vega 8, up to 1,200 MHz
- Memory: 16 GB DDR4
- Storage: 256 GB SSD
- Series: ACEMAGIC V1
How the 3500U fits
The 3500U is an older AMD laptop processor, from the same Zen+ generation as the Ryzen Embedded R2544 in the K1. It has four cores with simultaneous multithreading, so eight threads. That's a practical advantage over the four-thread Intel N97 and N150 when several things run at once: a video call while a browser loads, or a spreadsheet recalculating while music plays. Its Radeon Vega 8 graphics are also stronger than Intel's N-series graphics for light photo editing and casual games.
On the other hand, the N150 and N97 are newer, lower-power chips with a higher 3.6 GHz boost. For a box that runs 24 hours a day, they may draw less power.
16GB and 256GB
Sixteen gigabytes gives room for Windows, a browser with many tabs and an Office suite. The 256 GB SSD is the limit to watch: it fits Windows, programs and documents, but not a big media library. Use cloud storage or an external drive on a USB port for photos and video. ACEMAGIC hasn't published the slot layout for the Ryzen version of the V1, so check the product page before planning an internal upgrade.
Everyday use
Good fits are office work, school, web apps, video calls, streaming and light photo editing. The Vega 8 graphics can run older games and less demanding titles at low settings. Modern 3D games and 4K video editing are beyond this chip.
Who should pick this one
- Users who want eight threads for smoother multitasking than the N-series V1
- Home offices and students who keep files in the cloud
- Buyers who prefer AMD Radeon graphics in a small budget PC
Compared with the 8GB version
The V1 Ryzen 5 3500U with 8GB has the same processor and drive with half the memory. The 16 GB version is the better choice for Windows 11, especially with many browser tabs, and it lets the Vega graphics use dual-channel memory if the modules are installed that way.
Before you order
Confirm the product page shows the Ryzen 5 3500U with 16 GB and 256 GB, and check the ports, display outputs and wireless standard for this version, since the V1 name covers both Intel and AMD builds.

Questions
How many threads does the 3500U have? Eight, from four cores.
Is it faster than the N150? It handles multitasking better with eight threads and has stronger graphics; the N150 is newer, has a higher boost clock and is designed for lower power.
Is 256GB enough? For Windows, apps and documents, yes. Large photo or video libraries need extra storage.
