ACEMAGIC V1 vs Beelink EQ14: Two Intel N150 Mini PCs Compared

The ACEMAGIC V1 and the Beelink EQ14 use the same processor, Intel's 4-core Twin Lake N150, so the choice comes down to everything around it: size, storage slots, networking, display outputs and power. This comparison uses ACEMAGIC's published specifications for the V1 and Beelink's own product page for the EQ14.

The short answer: choose the ACEMAGIC V1 if you want the smallest box, DisplayPort output, Windows 11 Pro and two 10 Gbps USB ports. Choose the Beelink EQ14 if you want two internal drive slots and dual Ethernet ports, and you're happy with Windows 11 Home and two HDMI outputs.

Where the ACEMAGIC V1 is stronger

Size. At 100 mm square and 33 mm tall, the V1 takes up noticeably less space than the EQ14's 126 mm square case. For a crowded desk or a spot behind a TV, that difference is easy to see.

DisplayPort output. The V1 pairs HDMI with DisplayPort 1.4, while the EQ14 has two HDMI ports. If one of your monitors uses DisplayPort, the V1 avoids an adapter.

Windows 11 Pro. The V1 ships with Pro, which adds BitLocker encryption, Remote Desktop hosting and business management tools. Beelink lists Windows 11 Home for the EQ14; upgrading to Pro is an extra cost.

Fast front USB. ACEMAGIC lists two 10 Gbps USB-A ports on the front of the V1. Beelink's EQ14 page doesn't list USB port speeds, so check its product page if fast external drives matter to you.

Where the Beelink EQ14 is stronger

Two drive slots. Beelink lists two M.2 PCIe 3.0 slots with up to 8 TB in total, while the V1 has one slot up to 2 TB. If you want a separate drive for media or backups, the EQ14 has the room.

Dual Ethernet. Beelink sells the EQ14 with two Gigabit or two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports. That suits home servers, firewalls and network projects. The V1 has one Gigabit port.

Published noise figure. Beelink lists 32 dB for the EQ14 and describes a bottom-intake cooling design. ACEMAGIC doesn't publish a noise figure for the V1.

Power setup. Beelink's product description says the EQ14 has a built-in power supply, so only a single cable runs to the wall. Its spec table and box contents also list an adapter, though, so check the exact version if a cable-free desk matters to you.

What's the same

Both use the N150 with 24 execution-unit graphics, so performance in everyday tasks should be similar for similar memory and storage. Both cap memory at 16 GB in a single slot, both list Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and both drive two 4K 60 Hz screens. Both ship with SATA drives in the slots that accept faster NVMe drives, so upgrading storage can speed up either one.

Who should choose which

Choose the ACEMAGIC V1 if: - You want the smallest possible PC for office work, study or streaming - You use a DisplayPort monitor - You need Windows 11 Pro features out of the box

Choose the Beelink EQ14 if: - You want two internal SSDs - You need two Ethernet ports for a home server or network setup - A published low noise figure matters to you

FAQ

Is one faster than the other? They use the same N150 processor and the same memory limit, so day-to-day speed should be similar. Differences in the included drive and memory can matter more than the brand.

Which is better as a home server? The EQ14's two drive slots and dual Ethernet make it the more flexible choice for server and network projects.

Which is better for a small desk? The V1, at 100 × 100 × 33 mm.

Can I upgrade either to 32 GB of memory? Neither brand lists more than 16 GB.

Questions to ask for any pairing

  1. Is the processor identical? If not, compare core counts and graphics first.
  2. How many memory slots, and is memory soldered?
  3. How many M.2 slots, and which PCIe generation?
  4. How many Ethernet ports, and at what speed?
  5. Which video outputs, and how many screens?
  6. Which Windows edition ships installed?
  7. How large is the case and power adapter?
