Verdict: The X3 is ACEMAGIC's graphics-focused pick in this lineup. It pairs AMD's Ryzen 7 H 255, an 8-core Zen 4 processor that ACEMAGIC lists at up to 54 W, with Radeon 780M integrated graphics, the strongest built-in graphics among the models we cover. Add a 40 Gbps USB4 port, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0 and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, and it's the most modern set of connections here too. The trade-off is memory: it's soldered to the board, so pick the size you need at checkout.

Key specs

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 H 255, 8 cores / 16 threads, Zen 4 on a 4 nm process, 3.8 GHz base, up to 4.9 GHz, 16 MB L3 cache, up to 54 W
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon 780M, 12 compute units, up to 2,600 MHz
  • Memory: 16 GB or 24 GB LPDDR5 on the board, not upgradable (speed listed as 6,400 MT/s; see notes)
  • Storage: 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive; two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slots, up to 4 TB
  • Displays: HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0 and USB4, for up to three screens; ACEMAGIC lists 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz
  • Ports: USB4 Type-C (40 Gbps, with power delivery), two 10 Gbps USB-A on the front, four 5 Gbps USB-A on the back, 3.5 mm audio
  • Network: 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2
  • Cooling: dual fans with two copper heat pipes
  • Size: 128.2 × 128.2 × 44 mm

What stands out

The best built-in graphics in the lineup. The Radeon 780M is a big step from the Radeon 680M in the M1 and far beyond the Intel graphics in the M5, V1 and K1. ACEMAGIC pitches it for games, video editing and 3D work. That makes the X3 the sensible choice if you want light-to-moderate PC gaming at modest settings, or GPU-accelerated editing, without a separate graphics card.

USB4 opens up options. The front USB4 port runs at up to 40 Gbps. It can drive a high-resolution display, connect a fast external SSD, or link a USB4 dock that adds more ports. ACEMAGIC's US product table lists up to 100 W of power delivery on that port.

Next-generation display outputs. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.0 are newer standards than the HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 used on the other models here. If you own a 4K 120 Hz monitor or TV, the X3 can drive it at full refresh rate.

Fast network and room for storage. The 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port suits a fast home network or a NAS, and both M.2 slots run at PCIe 4.0, so a second drive won't be held back.

Distinct looks. The X3 belongs to ACEMAGIC's Retro X series, with a classic-console-inspired case. It's a design choice more than a technical one, but it sets the X3 apart on a shelf or under a TV.

What to watch

Memory can't be upgraded. LPDDR5 is soldered to the board, so the amount you buy is the amount you keep. If you plan to run many virtual machines or large creative projects, choose the larger configuration where it's offered.

Spec details vary between ACEMAGIC pages. ACEMAGIC's US page and its product page give LPDDR5 at 6,400 MT/s, but a comparison table on ACEMAGIC's German page lists DDR5 at 5,600 MHz. The US table lists one 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, while the French comparison table lists two. We use the US figures here; check the configuration you select before you order.

No AI accelerator. ACEMAGIC states the Ryzen 7 H 255 doesn't include an NPU. If on-device AI features that need a dedicated NPU matter to you, this chip won't provide one.

Noise isn't published. ACEMAGIC lists a dual-fan cooler but no decibel figure. At 54 W, expect audible fans under heavy gaming loads.

Who it's for

  • Casual and moderate PC gamers who want a small box under the TV or monitor
  • Video and photo editors who benefit from stronger integrated graphics
  • Owners of fast external SSDs, USB4 docks or high-refresh monitors
  • Homes with a 2.5 Gbps network or a NAS

Who should look elsewhere

  • Heavy multitaskers who need the most processor cores: the M5 has 16
  • Buyers who want upgradable memory: the M5 and K1 use standard slots
  • Budget office buyers: the V1 costs far less

Bottom line

The X3 is the ACEMAGIC mini PC to pick if graphics or modern ports matter to you. Radeon 780M graphics, USB4 and HDMI 2.1 give it the widest range of uses in the lineup, from couch gaming to editing on a high-refresh screen. Choose your memory size carefully, since it can't be changed later.
