This K1 swaps the embedded R2544 for AMD's Ryzen 3 7330U, a newer four-core, eight-thread laptop chip that boosts to 4.3 GHz. ACEMAGIC pairs it with 16 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD. The result is a small desktop with snappier single-threaded speed than the R2544 versions, which you feel when opening apps, loading heavy web pages and working in spreadsheets.

R2544 or 7330U?

Both chips have four cores and eight threads, so on paper they look alike. The difference is generation. The R2544 uses Zen+ cores and tops out at 3.7 GHz with 4 MB of L3 cache. The 7330U uses Zen 3 cores, boosts to 4.3 GHz and doubles the L3 cache to 8 MB. Zen 3 also does more work per clock than Zen+. In practice the 7330U is the quicker choice for everyday responsiveness: launching apps, switching between browser tabs, recalculating a large spreadsheet or running a video call while you take notes.

The 7330U is also a 15 W laptop part, designed to run efficiently, which suits a box that may sit on all day.

Memory and storage

Sixteen gigabytes is the comfortable amount for Windows 11 today. It handles a browser with many tabs, an Office suite and a messaging app together without slowing down.

The 256 GB SSD is the one place this configuration is lean. It holds Windows and your programs with room for documents, but a large photo or video library will fill it. ACEMAGIC hasn't published the slot layout for this exact K1 version, so check the product page for a second M.2 slot before you plan an upgrade, or use an external drive on one of the USB ports.

Everyday use

The 7330U is a good fit for office work, school, web apps, light photo editing and 4K streaming. The integrated Radeon graphics can play older and lighter games at modest settings, but this is not a gaming machine. For gaming or creative work, the K1 with Ryzen 7 7735HS adds Radeon 680M graphics and eight cores.

Who should pick this one

  • Home and small-office users who want quicker response than the R2544 models
  • Students who keep many tabs, documents and video calls open together
  • Anyone who stores most files in the cloud, so 256 GB is enough

Look elsewhere if you need a large local drive out of the box; the K1 R2544 with 1TB has four times the storage.
