ACEMAGIC sells this machine as the Kron Mini K1. It's the K1 to choose if you want lots of memory without stepping up to the larger performance models: an eight-core, sixteen-thread Ryzen 7 7730U, 32 GB of dual-channel DDR4 and a 1 TB SSD. ACEMAGIC lists triple-display support at 4K 60 Hz, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and an auto power-on feature.

Eight cores at laptop power

The 7730U is a 15 W chip with eight Zen 3 cores and sixteen threads. That's double the core count of the R2544 and 7330U versions of the K1. Single-threaded speed is similar to the 7330U, but anything that spreads across cores runs much faster: exporting photos in a batch, compiling code, compressing files, running a local database or keeping several virtual desktops busy. Because it's a low-power part, it should run cooler and quieter than the 35 W and 45 W chips higher in the range.

Why 32GB matters

Thirty-two gigabytes is more than most home users need today, and that's the point. It lets you run a virtual machine next to Windows, keep a browser with a hundred tabs open, or work with large spreadsheets and photo libraries without the system swapping to disk. Dual-channel memory also gives the integrated Radeon graphics more bandwidth, which helps with video playback and light games.

The 1 TB SSD is generous for a box this size and covers most libraries.

Three screens

ACEMAGIC lists support for three displays at up to 4K 60 Hz. That suits a trading desk, a developer setup with code, browser and terminal on separate screens, or an office machine driving a projector and two monitors. Check the product page for which ports carry video on this version before buying cables.

Auto power-on

Auto power-on means the machine starts by itself when power returns. That's useful for a home server, a media box, a signage display or a remote office PC that has to come back after a power cut without someone pressing the button.

Who should pick this one

  • Developers, analysts and power users who want many cores and plenty of memory in a quiet box
  • Small offices running three monitors
  • Home-lab users who want an always-on machine that restarts after outages

It's not a gaming PC. For games and GPU work, the ACEMAGIC X3 with Radeon 780M is the better fit.

Before you order
